Salad Burnet

Salad Burnet is a lovely cut and come again salad herb with a mild cucumber flavour, that adds a nice delicate flavour to salads and sandwiches. It is really easy and fun to grow, and grows nice and quickly once established.

Salad Burnet Growing Advice

Sowing Indoors

• Salad Burnet can be sown indoors throughout the year, ideally into module trays at a depth of around 1cm and covered with growing medium.  Plants can be translated outside into their final growing position after hardening off during early Spring.

Sowing Outdoors

• From mid-spring until late summer Salad Burnet can be directly sown outdoors into drills 1cm deep and covered lightly with growing medium. Sow thinly as these plants will crop heavily and be very productive.  Keep watered during warm weather.

Ongoing care and harvest

• Cut back Salad Burnet regularly to ensure regular crops.  
• Divide in autumn to gain additional plants.
