Hot Pepper 'Lemon Drop'

This is a brilliant variety of chilli pepper that produces attractive yellow chilli fruits.  They score around 30,000-50,000 SHU on the Scoville heat scale, and can be used to add a hot, citrus flavour to your dishes!

Lemon Drop Chilli Growing Advice

Sowing Indoors

• Your chilli seeds should be sown indoors in late winter /early spring.  They will need warmth to germinate - between 18-21 degrees.  
• Sow seeds around 5mm deep into a module tray, seed tray or small pot and cover with growing medium.
• When seedlings emerge they will need as much light as possible, so place your young plants in a bright location.
• Gradually pot the seedlings on into individual pots.
  

Ongoing care and harvest

• When summer arrives you have the option to move the chillies outdoors, but growing in a warm greenhouse, polytunnel or windowsill is a much better option for most British summers.
• Pot the chillies into a large pot to gain the best possible harvest.
