Attractive large leaves with a really gorgeous flavour, Mustard Green Giant is perfect for chopping into mixed salads or stir-frying into dishes. it is also ideal for early spring and autumn cropping.

Mustard Green Giant Growing Advice

Sowing Indoors

• Mustard can be sown throughout the year, indoors into seed trays or pots, but we would suggest sowing multiple seeds per cell of a module tray.  Cover the seeds lightly with a growing medium and place in a bright position.  As seedlings develop they can be potted on and gradually hardened off into their eventual planting position.

Sowing Outdoors

• You can sow Mustard directly outdoors from mid-spring to early autumn into narrow drills, either in a sunny or lightly shaded position. Cover the seeds lightly with a growing medium.  If you wish to harvest baby leaf salad you can leave as little as 3-5cm between plants but if you wish the plant to grow to it's full size then gradually thin to a spacing of 20cm.

Ongoing care and harvest

• Sowing mustard during late summer can give you a delicious, hardy crop to enjoy through autumn and winter.
• Harvest the plants regularly to encourage fresh growth.
