Plain Leaved Parsley

This variety is widely regarded as being the variety of Parsley with the best flavour. It has lush foliage that is perfect for chopping into salad or onto dishes as a garnish, or as a seasoning with chicken or fish dishes.

Plain Leaved Parsley Growing Advice

Sowing Indoors

• You can sow Parsley indoors throughout the year for regular harvests, but to produce garden-ready plants you should sow indoors in a greenhouse or sunny windowsill from early spring until late summer.  Sow the seeds into pots or trays at a depth of 1cm and cover lightly with growing medium.  Once established seedlings can be transplanted into larger containers, hardened off and moved outside into their final planting position.

Sowing Outdoors

• You can sow Parsley directly into the ground from mid-spring until late summer.   Sow into drills 1cm deep and cover light with growing medium.  Parsley will enjoy growing in a sunny or lightly shaded location.  Keep young plants watered during warm weather. Once large enough to handle, thin the plants to 15cm spacing.
